The ITV in Mallorca differs in some aspects from the technical inspections in other countries. For example, in Spain it is legally established that every vehicle must pass at least once a year a technical inspection. The inspection is carried out in an official ITV station which has all the necessary equipment and specialists to carry out a complete inspection of the vehicle. In addition, certain requirements, such as emission control standards, must be met during an inspection in Mallorca.

It is important to keep in mind that in Mallorca you can also be fined for having an expired ITV.
